Something that I Love

Rose’s lavender drifts by my bed,

The fan lifts air through the room,

An ice pack hides my injured foot.

I’ve only experience and imagination,

At my side.

I would ride a dragon if I could,

And stroke his belly with the wind.

I would travel from the center,

Of my body to the center of the world,

With him.

I would look his insight in the eyes,

And never question dreams again.

Crimson, gold and unbearably undefined,

He would cry a single tear —

Cradling all of mine.
